Brooklyn Bridge is one of the oldest and iconic bridges of New York which holds the pride and historical significance of America. The designing of bridge was initiated by John Roe-bling in late 1860s and completed by his son and daughter in law Washington and Emily Roe-bling respectively in 1883. It has chosen as National Historic Landmark and National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark in 1964 and 1972 respectively. 

 Brooklyn Bridge is steel wired suspension bridge comprised of 5,989 ft, 85 ft and 276.5 ft as total length, width and height respectively. It is designed as a hybrid   cable-stayed/ . It carries the 6 pathways only for car, elevated boardwalk for pedestrians and bicycles. It used to carry elevated trains and streetcars but removed after 1944 and 1950 respectively.  The bridge is connected through two high-rise towers made from granite and Limestone. The height of towers surpassed every tower in the continent and strong enough to bear the load of 15” steel cables used for road ways. The height of the tower is enough which can hold the overall bridge at the same never interferes with the traffic of river.   The bridge contains numerous compartments and passageways at its dock. This iconic bridge has not only connected two cities but also grew the interaction from one end to other.
