Cube house Rotterdam Neither land : Innovatively Groundbreaking

It is the Cube House, situated in Kubuswoningen of Oude Haven which holds a historical significance for the Rotterdam. Oude Haven has seen the bombing of 1940 which destroyed the place drastically. In 1974, with the change in government, Hans Mentink – in charge for the spatial planning appointed leading architect Piet Blom to design something which should be different than usual housing norms. Piet Blom was already got fame for his cubic houses in Helmond and the he is going to apply in Kubuswoningen. The construction of Cube house has started 1982 and completed in 1984.
