The concept of Acoustic Shells has inspired from the traditional bandstand. The need of the bandstand increases with need of green space as people can sit and relax. Long Museum West Band is a private museum found by Liu Yiqian and Wang Wei in 2014. It was China’s first largest private museum at that time. The architectural design has given by Shanghai Firm - Atelier Deshaus. The designing has led by Liu Yichun and Chen Yifeng with his team of Wang Longhai, Wu Zhenghui, Chen Kun, Wang Weishi and Wang Xuepei. It is located at the bank of Huangpu River in Xuhui District of Shanghai Municipality. The museum is exactly built in the site which was used as landing stage for coal transportation.
