It was opened in 2012 and in the same year won the World Building of the Year at the World Architecture Festival Awards. In 2015, the garden has seen its 20 millionth visitor.

Gardens by the Bay is a nature park extends up to 101 hectares. The garden was divided into three waterfront park – Bay East Garden, Bay South Garden and Bay Central Garden. Bay South Garden is the largest among all spans to 54 hectares while the other two i.e. Bay East Garden and Bay Central Garden measures 32 hectares and 15 hectares respectively. The highlight of the garden is 18 supertree structure reaching up to 50 meters. Those Supertrees consist of innumerable plant species which is embellishing the vein like cladding of Supertree. All the giant trees are connected 20 meters bridges. The tallest of them also contain the bar at the top. Other attractions are conservatories mostly consist of flowers from Mediterranean regions and tropical plants and an artificial waterfall. Other appealing features are space for the event themed gardens, a lake, themed garden, tree lined walkways and a playground. Garden at the Bay was the most talked about project of Singapore in recent year. No wonder it was, as the feedback from daily visitors of garden stupendous and overwhelming.
